Gardening Requirements And Care Of Aloe Vera Plants:
Habit: Unusual in form large arching tails spreading from a central rosette, this is an ideal accent plant, particularly for patios. Rather slow growing, it is best grown in semi-shade, where it is rich green, but it will also grow in sun, its spiny leaves then being yellow-green on shorter stems. It must, however, be grown where it has room to spread, for pruning spoils its natural fan-like shape.

Over this lightly spread cup of bone phosphate per square meter and then works in well. Set plants 30cm to 50m apart.
Feeding and watering: In spring give mulch of compost which includes cupful of bone phosphate. Water regularly but not excessively. No extra feeding and don’t over water, particularly if grown in shade. Feed every spring with liquid fertilizer, or when looking seedy.
Propagation: Cuttings From Mature Stem But Not Woody Growth.
For better growth: Fertilizer may spread quite satisfactorily by hand if it is done carefully and as evenly as possible’ but all the hassle is taken out of the job if a mechanical trough spreader is used on lawns. A mixing bar connected to the wheels stir the fertilizer which drops through holes at the bottom. Water Flow is adjustable .Remember always water before and after fertilizing.
